Congratulations, this is a big step! But before you get started creating your organization, review the current registered organizations in GatorConnect, search for any existing system that has a similar purpose, goal, or proper noun. If no student organization currently exists, awesome, then you can follow the steps below to create an organisation.

Note: Registration for new student organizations is open semesterly.
The upcoming registration cycle for the 2021-2022 bookish year will open in July 2021.

All Registered Educatee Organizations must Have:

Proper noun

Unique and identifiable – cannot contain University of Florida, UF or Gators – with a divers mission and purpose

Members

Minimum 10 members, three of whom volition serve every bit either President, Vice President, or Treasurer (full-time currently enrolled Academy of Florida Students)

Counselor

A total-time, salaried faculty or staff member at the Academy of Florida

Constitution

Reviewed and canonical file that meets the Academy of Florida Constitution Requirements

Process for Creating A New Educatee Organization

STEP i: Allow us know what your looking to create

Brand certain you take all 4 of the above required items for all registered student organizations
Complete a New Student Arrangement Proposal Form through GatorConnect

STEP ii: Subsequently approval of the New Pupil Organization Proposal Form, the organisation will be asked to:

Attend a Constitution Consultation meeting with a SAI advisor
Complete Pupil Organization Officer Training, well-nigh via myTrainings (President, Vice President, Treasurer)
Complete the Online Hazing Module: Hazing Prevention 101™ Form – College Edition by the President, Vice President and Treasurer
Ensure the Advisor Verification Form is submitted past the listed counselor (eligibility requirements)
Complete Electronic Registration
Final Submission of an Approved Constitution based on the University of Florida constitution requirements

Regular use of University facilities

Ability to apply for part, locker, or mailbox space in the Reitz Union

Ability to request funds from Student Government (SG) if SG policies and criteria are met
